Photojournalism / Editorial
Photojournalism is a part of journalism that is characterized by the use of images to tell a story. The images are positioned so that they follow the narrative, effectively helping the reader to visualize as they read. Photojournalists will often travel to take pictures for magazines and news articles that either tell a story or provide images for an article. Along with taking pictures, some photojournalists are also responsible for optimizing and preparing the pictures for publication.
Images and Written Words
When words and images are combined, the imagination has no limit. Dark deeds are exposed, barriers are destroyed, secret sounds in nature come alive, and the words of a politician are suddenly audible to the human ear. A skilled photojournalist can approach almost any topic and turn it into a story as vast as the universe, making it interesting for the critical reader, yet simple and interesting for children.
