Photojournalism is a part of journalism that is characterized by the use of images to tell a story. The images are placed so that they follow the narrative, effectively helping the reader to visualize as they read. Photojournalists will often travel to take pictures for magazines and news articles that either tell a story or provide visual images that are used in an article. Along with taking photos, some photojournalists are also responsible for optimizing and preparing the pictures for publication.
